With the Final conference the project partners officially concluded the Erasmus+ project Tennis4women.
The Conference was organised by the Slovenian partner ŠŠK Zdrava zabava in the Student Campus Center in Ljubljana. More than 100 participants attended the conference attended by the project partners, stakeholders, participants of the tennis courses and representatives of sports clubs and associations. The conference was held in a hybrid way: it took place both live on-site and via zoom.
At the conference, the partners presented the achievements of the project, and encouraged the discussion on how to get girls and younger women aged 13 to 27 to engage in sports activity (tennis) for a long time and regularly.
The conference was enriched with their lectures by three experts in the field of sports:
- Anja Milinković, with a contribution on the topic of negative consequences of the early pursuit of top results in sports on the healthy and successful development of young women,
- prof. dr. Tanja Kajtna, with a contribution on the topic of motivation of younger women to engage in sports and physical activity,
- Vilim Višak, interview with the coach of world-class tennis players (Polona Hercog, Marin Čilić...).
The participants of the conference were greeted by dr. Jernej Štromajer, the representative of the Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport.
After the official end of the conference, the participants socialized over a small snack.
